At this time of year we start to think how to celebrate with our loved ones. Obviuosly a card is very important (always sent anonymously but he/she ought to know who it’s from). Then there must be a decision on how to celebrate. Going out for a meal is one option, but make sure you book, most restaurants are fully booked on 14th February. The other option is to stay in and cook or bring in something spectacular. To go with these options you must have something appropriate and memorable to drink.

My suggestion is a good rosé Champagne. The pink bubbles just shout ‘love’ to your partner. My favourite is Henri Mandois Champagne Rosé Grande Reserve Brut. It is outstandingly good Champagne. Because Henri Mandois is a small producer, the wine is made more by hand than some of the better known big volume producers. Also Henri Mandois do not spend masses of money on marketing so they do not need to pass this on. Result: You get a far better product at a sensible price. Try some!
